My mother felt that he was probably buried in the family plat at Oak Hill Cemetery in Galena and that there must not have ever been a marker placed there. I sent for a death certificate from Kansas but turned up nothing. Then I remembered my mother once commented that his mother had married a man from Webb City, Mo. Even though his mother was buried at Oak Hill, I took a long shot and sent for a death certificate for him from Missouri. Lo and behold! I received one which stated that he died in the state hospital in Jasper Co. I would appreciate it if you would see if you can find a burial for him in Jasper Co. Maybe you know where inmates from the state hospital were normally buried. His name was Leroy VanNoy and I believe he died in either 1945 or 1947. Thanks.
