Dearest Heather: I am looking and don't find any listing of Volney FULLERTON and the dates don't coincide with Jesse Harold's children or marriages. However, I do find a listing of a Volney E. HINTON who married Sarah G. FULLERTON Sarah b 17 May 1831 d 6 July 1890 first marriage to Volney E. HINTON ( no known issue) 2nd marriage for Sarah G. FULLERTON was to Francis Coleman WILLIAMS with four children. Note: I have seen sometimes a woman's maiden name mistaken for her married name........as was the situation with Mary Catherine FULLERTON who first married George HUTTON and later Pinkney Tell MANN. She is often listed as Mary Catherine HUTTON.......incorrectly. So, that would be one possibility.....cause I sure have a lot of these FULLERTON's from different sources and Volney rings the bell.........but no such.
