Hi Andrea, Sorry for the delay - away all day yesterday. I did find a Bennie Schreiner who was a Sophemore in 1930. His picture did not appear in the class pictures, but there were a couple of written things about him. On the achievements for the Sophemore page the following: " In the track contests Bennie Shriner (?) received first honors in the mile and a half races." I believe his name was mispelled because on the page for Intra-Mural Athletics he's listed as running the mile as Bennie Schreiner. He also appeared in the list of members for the ATHENAEUMS club. I hope this is your Schreiner - none of the others you mentioned appeared in the 1930 Joplimo. Margaret Rollins
Hi Margaret! Thank you so much for your search of my great Uncle Bennie. The one you found is indeed him. They were the only Schreiner family in Joplin at that time. Could I ask of you to make copies of those items you mentioned and the cover page of the 1930 year book for me? I would be very happy to pay for your expense in doing so and for shipping. Email me privately if this is agreeable and I will provide you my address.
