He was 6'4" tall and of dark complexion 2. He had blue eyes 3. Very slim His daughter Francis spoke broken English and claimed she was 1/4 Cherokee. Isaac's children could not read or write until they were in their middle teens. I would appreciate any information on whether anyone knows if Juda was of Indian lineage. I have contacted several of Nancy Hickey and John Little's descendents and many have the same traits as Isaac. I have been researching her life, and don't have any information concerning her parents. I realize that the birthdate for her is a keen clue, as she was born in Arkansas prior to white settlers recorded to be living in that part of state. This leads me to believe she must be a Quapaw Indian, (all the territory of the state of Arkansas was held by that tribe at her time of birth.) So far, this is all I have to go on, and if anyone has other information that will help me please do. She married a man by the name of Holloway Stokes, since she was on the census at 1830 in Jackson Co Arkansas as his wife. Jackson Co banks up to Independence Co, and at her birthdate, may have even been Independence Co. Cynthia Davis is my gr gr gr grandmother. She was living in Nevada Co, Arkansas by the 1880 census and at 71 she was a midwife.
