    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: JulsGo Surnames: Arbogast Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.jasper/4933/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello everyone... I just pulled a death certificate from SOS Mo Archives. It is for Jacob Arbogast. He was born on 26 May 1842 and died 24 Jan 1916 in Lincoln, Jasper County, Missouri. I am researching the Arbogasts from Tuscarawas County, Ohio. This Jacob was born in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. I am missing a Jacob who was the son of John Arbogast and Magdalena Oswald. This Jacob's parents (on the death cert) were John Arbogast and Lydia Wagner (well it looks like Wagner). The informant for his death cert was Fred Arbogast. Not sure who he would be other than a possible son. I am looking for anybody that would have information on this Jacob Arbogast. I will try to see what else I can find and will post back here if I find anything... Thanks, Juls Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. I've "rescued" a group of photographs which I believe all belong to the JOHNSON Family of Missouri. Only one of the photographs is identified, however, all three were recovered together and were all taken at studios in St. Joseph, MO. The first is a photograph of Landon JOHNSON which was taken at a studio in St. Joseph, MO, though I am not able to make out the studio name. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Landon appearing to be in his 30's or 40's at the time. In addition to his name, someone has also written "Uncle" on the back of the photograph. The second photograph is of an unidentified woman and was taken at the Prewitt's Cottage Studio in St. Joseph, MO. The second and third photographs may be of the same woman at different ages as there is a striking resemblance between the two. Based on limited research I was able to locate someone information regarding this JOHNSON Family and the members likely in the photographs: Dr. Landon Claggett JOHNSON b. 1866 to parents William Pallis JOHNSON (b. 1838) and Lucy Eveline BAGBY (b. 1836 in KY), married Elizabeth RICE, and died Mar 1910. Nativity holds true. I don't find a Percy listed. http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/ordb.asp Name Date of Death County City Certificate Number Mary M.[Margaret Lewis] Howe September 11, 1920 Jasper Webb City 29538 view image Thad Howe June 09, 1927 Jasper 18635-a view image I'm guessing some of Mary's info is incorrect. Thad's is better. Mary was a Lewis. I don't find Percy here, but he could be listed incorrectly or lot's of things. A lot of deaths are missing from these records. I'm sorry, but I have run out of time for now.
