    1. [MOJASPER] REED family

    3. Seeking info on this CLEMON REED family: 1860 Jasper Co MO Census REED, Clemon 52 m farmer TN Tabitha 21 f TN Mary 16 f TN *Joseph 16 m TN Wiley 13 m TN Martha A. 11 f MO *Vincent 8 m MO *Joseph was my gr-grandfather and came to Hopkins Co, TX after the war and was married in 1872 to Margaret Ramsey which is the first record of him here. He is listed on the 1880 HC census. *Vincent was listed on the same census and lived "next door". He was married in 1879 to Sarah Jane Stephenson. On the 1860 MO census 2 farms down lived CHESLEY REED 25 m farm laborer TN and Francis Marion (looks like) m 8 months old. There is a record of his marriage to Sarah Zealous in Jasper Co. He was in Hopkins Co TX in 1867 for he married Sarah Lavina Couch and appears on the 1870 HC Census. Next door to Chesley on the MO census is EDMOND A. REED 29 m farm laborer TN, wife Sarah 20 TN, and Robert C. 3 MO. I have no record that he came to TX. We are presuming that Chesley and Edmond are also sons of Clemon Reed. We have found a Clemon Reed family in Williamson Co TN with children in these age groups. I live in Hopkins Co and know a lot about Joseph, Vincent and Chesley but would like to hear from descendents of these other children to possibly learn more about Clemon and wife, Elizabeth. Thanks. Juanita
