Robin I find a number of Lawless' in the 1850 Missouri Census, 1 in Atchison Co., 1 in Cooper Co., 1 in Crawford Co., 2 in Platte Co., 6 in Saline Co. and 7 in St Louis Co. None in Jasper Co. I find no Lollis at all for Missouri, 1850. Do you have a first name or know which Co.? I would be willing to check earlier census records but I don't presently have the capability to check anything after 1850. Schell Knob is on Table Rock Lake, at the edge of Barry Co., near the border of Stone Co. Is there a Schell Rock in McDonald Co.? That is where Schell's Mill was, on Sugar Creek, not far from Pineville. The Schell and Yoachum Families tie to my Johnston folks down in this area. All living near what was called Sherwood and some buried in Sherwood Cemetery. Most of the families in mining. Needing cause of death of William A. Eckel/s Nov. 16, 1887 and where buried. Also cause of death of William M or Willie died 1900 age abt 31, married to Nettie Fleming with one son Harry O. Eckels died 1970. Nettie remarried to William Soward by 1910. Harry married a Sarah in 1955 at age of 65 and lived in Carl Junction area. Sarah went to live with daughter and son-in law a Jean(from previous marriage in Australia) and Herbie(a retired Air Force Colonel just returned from Japan) in N.J. about 1970, would like to locate Jean and Herbie or descendants--they showed Springer Spaniels in NJ. The John Cade was the husband of William A. Eckels daughter Emma(age 15 when married and died at age 17) and as her widower we belive married his widowed mother-in-law Dora (maiden name unknown) Eckels about 1891 and we know nothing after that date. Also would like to locate info on another daughter: Anna Eckels that supposedly went to California around turn of the century and as far as we know wasn't heard of again, but there were some "Lee's" that visited Harry and were drowned in the 1950's or 60's in California in the ocean. The Lee's were named "Pete"(her nickname) and his was Karrol Lee. I understand the Carl Junction newspapers are in the MiddleSch. in Carl Junction on Microfilm and if any can look up info would be appreciated. contact: jackee@sktc.net
