Anyone working on Laura (Williams) Spencer b. 1866 in Kansas her parents were Edward J Williams and Winneford/Winaker Stout/Turner/Williams. I am looking for Laura Williams in the 1880 census and cannot find Laura or her brother Edward who would of been about 16-years old and Laura about 14 years-old. Laura's father Edward was living in Kansas in the 1880 census and Laura and Edward were not on the census with them. Laura Williams Spencer her father Edward (E J Williams) and her sister Missouri Ann Williams Davis ( M A Davis) were all living in Webb Ward 3, Jasper, Missouri in the 1900 census. Thank you for any information about this family, Donna --------------------------------- --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments.

A TB hospital was just north of Webb City limits and was such until into the 1950's. It then became a nursing home for a time.. In Carthage was a poor farm just south of city limits which also was later a nursing home. Some of the poor farm records are printed in Mrs Belks book. Whom are you looking for?
You may be looking for the one that was in Mt. Vernon, Lawrence County for many many years. It closed down maybe about 20 years ago. It is now a VA hospital. Toni Roush

Kelly. Their children appear in the 1910 census for Joplin, Jasper, Missouri. Samuel is buried by his first wife in Moniteau County I believe. I would like to know what happened to Sarah. I believe she was living with a married daughter in 1910 and was age 67. She had previously been married to Jesse Welton/Wilton. Her children were: Monroe Welton, Samuel R. Kelly, William Kelly and possibly Finis Kelly. I believe Samuel had Caledonia and George with his first wife, Eliza Enloe. Any help would be appreciated.

I had never heard of Oscar being called anything but Oscar or L. O. However it is possible. My thoughts are that he most likely died young (b 1896) of lung disease as many of the miners did in those days. He had gotten seriously ill with lung problems and I was thinking that maybe he wound up in one of the Joplin hospitals. I will follow up on that Miami bank robbery. Thanks again [email protected]

He was survived by his widow, Bertha, 2 daughters and two sons, a stepson Truman Walton, and 3 brothers--Sam, Dick, and Frank. Burial was to be in Webb City Cemetery. Could this be him, or maybe a relation?
