    1. Carthage House Torn Down
    2. Charlene
    3. There was a big old house in Carthage, on the South West corner of Chestnut and Clinton, that was torn down sometime in the 50's. Does anyone remember hearing anything about this event or the house? Sorry to be asking such a strange question but during the demolition the Carthage Press ran an article about it. If I can find the house article I have been told I will find some other information I am looking for nearby. I have exhausted other means of finding this information so just thought I would try. Also, I have been wondering how many people belong to this list? Thanks, Charlene

    1. Thomas Sees
    2. Charlene
    3. I am new to this list and live in Carthage. While remodeling the kitchen of our old house a couple of years ago we came across the name of Thomas Sees written neatly on the back of one of the frame boards. We are guessing the time frame it could have been written in as somewhere between 1889 and 1904. I've done more conventional searching for information about Mr. Sees but have come up empty. Is anyone else researching SEES in Jasper County? Thanks, Charlene
