W. H. WALLACE, an attorney living at 3200 Scarritt avenue, had a very exciting time yesterday afternoon with a large gray wolf, which he finally captured. Mr. WALLACE was on the way home from his office when he saw the beast walking along a small bluff. He went home and returned with a revolver, from which he fired several shots, none of which counted. The wolf then leaped from the bluff and ran across lots toward the river. Mr. WALLACE procured a lariat, and after a chase, overhauled the wolf. He succeeded in capturing the animal with the lariat and tied him up in his barn. He then notified Dog Catcher ROGERS, and the latter now has the beast at the pound. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo10 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
