Mary was previously married to an Albert S. Burwell in Miami County, Kansas. Albert and Mary had three children, one of which died young and was buried in Kansas where they lived. After getting a divorce, Albert moved to another state and remarried. Mary moved to Kansas City, Missouri and married William Lightner 30 Jul 1906. They can be found in the 1910 Census record.
