CONCERT The largest audience that has attended a musical even in the Grand Avenue Temple for many weeks heard Mrs. George R. COWDEN, Mrs. Raymond HAVENS and Wort S. MORSE last night. The three artists were presented by Dixie chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, for the benefit of the chapter's educational fund. Both Mrs. COWDEN and Mrs. HAVENS are heard a great many times in Kansas City, times when the call of the boulevards and the country roads is less insistent than on so warm a night as last night. So their evident pleasure at the way they were received in May was the result of a welcome to be valued more highly than if it had been received in December. Mr. MORSE's playing always earns him a welcome. ====================================================== I have no connection with any of these families but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo10 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
