    3. "The Kansas City Daily Times" (Missouri) Saturday, July 10, 1880 Mashed by a Beer Keg. As William HOOD was unloading some beer kegs in Kansas City, Kas., one of them slipped from his hand and caught the fingers of his right hand between the iron hoops and the keg and the sidewalk, amputating the index finger and mashing his hand. Dr. GISH was called who dressed the wound, but that he will have a sore hand for some time to come there seems no doubt. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo10
