The Historical Society in Columbia, MO has microfilms of nearly every newspaper in the state, going back as far as they've been able to acquire. I don't know whether they will look up information and send it; I'm sure there is at least a small fee if so. I live nearby but don't get there very often. If I should get there any time soon I'll certainly look. Do you have a death date and or place for his wife? If she died in MO, I might as well search for both of them. You may write me directly at VanetteHobbs@aol.com if you like. I see he was buried in Elmwood Cemetery. It is a gorgeous old cemetery and still active. They have an extensive website at http://www.elmwoodcem-kc.org/ with many photos. They might have some information too, such as who owned his cemetery plot. Good luck to you!
