I was born & raised in Oak Grove. I've lived in the area all of my life & know the area's you speak of, though I've not been to that specific cemetery. Do you know if that church is still active? I would like to find any church records available. Do you recognize the name " Rev. J.D. Thomas of Blue Springs"?, I assume he was connected to the church as he conducted the burial services for Gertie, aka "Belle" Schoonover. Regarding your kinship to Johnson's, I'll try to help if I can. My father was Charles Allen Johnson. His parents were Charleen Frances (Mabry) & Guy Harold Johnson. Guy was killed in WWII in 1945. Guy had 5 brothers, Floyd Ray, Luther Lee, Asa William Jr., Robert Vincent, & Kenneth Eugene, all Johnson's. Their parents were, Asa William Johnson, aka "Ace" & Laura Belle (Robinson). Ace always said he was 1/4 Cherokee. Asa had 2 brothers & one sister. Dave, Ed & Gertie. 90%, I believe, he had a brother Cyrus & a Sister Susan. 95%, I believe, Asa's parent's name's were Elihu R (Randolph)? Johnson & Mary (Lynch), (Lynott)? Still very much in the works, so don't hold me to it: Elihu had 3 sisters. Sarah Jane, Matilda H, & Samantha Jane. Married name's unknown. I think their parent's name were Lewis & Seneath, "Siny".
