Clarence Henry DEYO, for five years a resident of this city, died at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his home, 704 North Cottage street. He had been ill since Tuesday with heart disease. Mr. DEYO was a telegraph operator for the Kansas City Railway Company at its "Air Line" Junction in the East Bottoms. He was born at Battle Creek, Mich., and was nearing his fifty-ninth birthday anniversary. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate DEYO, and by four children: Mrs. H. L. THARP of Walla Walla, Wash., and George, Alice and Florence DEYO all of whom lived with their parents. A brother, E. T. DEYO, of Mishawaka, Ind., who had been notified on Wednesday of Mr. DEYO's dangerous illness, arrived yesterday afternoon. Mr. DEYO was the possessor of an unusually fine tenor voice, and during much of his life he was a choir leader. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 9 o'clock Saturday afternoon by his pastor, the Rev. P. R. HOOS.
