This is for a record of a man that was in Leavenworth Penitentiary that I believe to be my great-grandfather's brother. The file is 31 pages long and I am trying to avoid wading through all that plus having to pay to have it sent to me. I understand it is free to look up info in NARA's research room and I am only interested in 2 basic pieces of information: 1) was this man from Carbondale, Illinois? 2) what was his crime?
