Just a new poster and hope I am on the right track. I have the following and am trying to track DOERR / BATTENBERG family for genealogy info. Robert Michel (Michael) married to Henrietta Battenberg in 1875 in Anaheim Calif. Henrietta was previously married and I beleive her married name was Battenberg. Robert and Henrietta settled in San Francisco and had a son Fred Michael (born abt 1879) On Fred's records his mother's last name was listed as DOERR. After Robert's death in 1897 Henrietta and her son Fred left San Francisco and moved to Jackson County. Fred was in the US Army ( Spanish American War Vet) and filed for his pension from MO. Fred is listed as living in Castleton MO. He was single but His wife's name was Lena...nothing on last name. Henrietta is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City 1924 and her parents are listed as Henry DOERR and Susanna IMMCE or LMMCE. She was born in 1839 in Germany, as was Robert. After her death Fred returned to California. Henrietta already had a daughter named Emma Wagner, married name. Emma (born abt 1861)had a son Walter Wagner, born 1878/9. ( Mother and daughter both gave birth about the same time) I was told that there were a number of DOERR families in this area, so perhaps this is where Henrietta's family settled after coming from Germany.
