The only Fred Michael I found on the 1930 census in the Kansas City area is in Washington Township, Jackson County, age 50, born in California, divorced, parents born in Germany, occupation laborer, building. Hello Vanette.... Writing from Ontario Canada....this looks like him. His birth date was 1879 so that puts his age just about right. Interesting, this is the first hint of him being married and divorced. And his parents were born in Germany. His father Robert died in California and his mother Henrietta died in Kansas City area in 1924. I have her death certificate from the hospital. Fred eventually returned to California, but he had a wife Lena ? Not sure when they got married or where. Any suggests? Thanks for taking the time to look this up for me.
