I've seen those type postings ....... it's just too much to read and too confusing trying to following the family connections. However, a posting that has: "looking for cemetery and/or obituary for my great-grandmother, Mary PERSON who died in Kansas City on May 13, 1943" will get a lot of attention. You may not get a lot of replies, but many people will check the books that they have. If they don't find anything, they probably wont reply. At this point I assume you don't have a date and you're not even sure the person was in Kansas City. Good luck with your research.
