Pantey, situated between Thirteenth and Fourteenth streets, on New Delaware street, was burned down yesterday morning soon after daylight. Mr. PANTEY was lighting a fire in a store when he knocked over a coal oil lamp which broke, the burning fluid ran all over the floor, setting the dry pie boards in flames, the fire burst out of the windows and in a very short time the little cottage was in ruins. The house was insured to its full value. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo10 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
