CALL EIGHT IN WYANDOTTE COUNTY. The rural draft board, which includes Rosedale and all of Wyandotte County outside of the municipal limits of the Kansas side city, will furnish eight men to the draft Monday. The men: Guy H. McGILL, 644 Southwest Boulevard, Rosedale Arthur L. SLATER, 4628 Lloyd Avenue, Rosedale William L. COURTENEY, Bethel, Kas. Dalhousie LAMPEL, Rosedaleview Archibald G. STINSON, Thirty-fourth Street and Farrow Avenue C. Fletcher MANN, 4461 Eaton Avenue, Rosedale Samuel Elwood EDWARDS, Bethel, Kas. Leon WHITE, Rosedaleview These are the first men outside the Kansas side to be drafted in Wyandotte County, as the enlistments from Rosedale, chiefly in the Rainbow Division, filled the required quota of the first call. Lloyd MAYSWINKLE, 24 years old, 2202 North Seventh Street, Kansas side, was married to Ruth PRUIT March 2. Miss PRUIT was the niece of U. G. SNYDER, captain of the Kansas side police force, and lived with her uncle at 1049 Cleveland Avenue. Today MAYSWINKLE received notice that he would be sent to Camp Funston as part of the first contingent of the third draft.
