"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Wednesday, April 4, 1900 BENEATH A HORSE'S HOOFS. Mrs. Elizabeth TAPPIN, 50 years old, of 1705 Oak street, was struck by a runaway team belonging to Rudy Bros., the packers, while she was crossing the street at Thirteenth and Grand avenue yesterday morning. She was knocked down and her head and face severely cut and bruised. She sustained a concussion of the brain, and her legs suffered by the horses stepping on them.
