I am hoping someone can help me piece together my gr-grandmother's last 40 years in Kansas City. Her name was Mary Alice Atkins, which I think she usually went by "Alice". She was born in 1859 in Effingham, ILL to John and Alice Sappington Withers. She married Henry Funk at Hannibal, MO. They divorced in 1908. She then married Richard Atkins. After he passed away, she came to Kansas City. And, there is where I lose track of her. I was always told she lived with a family, and raised their son. I did get a copy of 1933 Kansas City directory. At that time she was living at 3624 Norledge Place. I was wondering if someone could do a look up and see who else lived at that address. I am hoping to maybe find the family she lived with, and hopefully get in touch with that family, if any are still living in Kansas City. Her last couple of years she lived at the Nettleton Home on Swope Parkway. She died July 21, 1951 and is buried at the Elmwood Cemetery on Truman Road. !
