    3. "The Kansas City Journal" (Missouri) Sunday, December 27, 1903 YOUNGER BROTHER SHOT HIM. While out hunting, near Birmingham, yesterday afternoon, Eugene JARMAN, 10 years old, accidentally shot his brother, R. F. JARMAN, a pressman, who lives at 4625 East Tenth street, in the right arm. The charge of rabbit shot entered the arm just above the elbow, tearing it almost off. JARMAN had his arm dressed temporarily at Birmingham yesterday and came to Kansas City on the evening train. He was sent to the city hospital, where it is said the arm will have to be amputated. The JARMAN brothers left Kansas City for a hunting trip yesterday morning, in company with Frank MORRIS, of 2427 Cherry street. At noon, the three stopped to eat lunch. They had been carrying their guns cocked, and before they sat down to lunch, started to lower the hammers. Young JARMAN had the muzzle of his gun pointed toward his brother and let the hammer slip. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
