Buchanan, then widow, g g grandmother, Polly Ann Davis Kelly, sues to remove George, deposition is against her children and George, attorney J Hovey, then in another suit she has a new attorney in mid 1870's stating some?thirty eight thousand plus dollars are unaccounted for by George.? Now Mr Buchanan is a noted respected jurist, teacher, et al.. plus a partner of John Kelly at one time.? John has a son named George Buchanan Kelly, a noted newspaperman amongst other achievements. All done in Probate Court and court of common please of Jackson County in Independence beginning in Nov 1861. Also done in this court is payment from John's estate to cover payments on bills or notes on estate of Hiram B. Kelly and widow Ellenor or Ellen or Eleanor.? spelled all ways. "Class No 5 estate"? Do not know what this means. As stated previously in queries, John owned a lot of land in Blue Township in Leeds area plus 8 acres in old Independence.? Many Lots, believe reference to Lot 63 and the Kelly Mansion mentioned in depositions.? Plus several frame homes.? One for one William McCoy in perpetuity.....
