    2. I do not know about a Lee's Cemetery, but it was also an area of Kansas City-like Martin City, Marborough, or Waldo.? I do not lnow what came first-the Leeds Chevrolet plant or the area.? My husband had to go through Leeds to get to his grandparents in the 1940s and early 1950s. Author: ppruitt2 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.jackson/6188.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I live in and do cemetery research in Jackson County, MO, but I've never run across a cemetery that looked like the name Leeds. I pulled up the death certificate for Charles Parker online and sure enough, that's what it looks like. The only reference to anything "Leeds" that I'm familiar with is a General Motors plant that used to be in Kansas City, open from about 1921 until 1978. I will try to get to the genealogy library some time this week and see if I can find an obituary for you unless someone else gets to it before I do. Maybe the obiturary will give more information about where your Charles Parker is buried. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
