Hi List, As there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this list I would like to ask you all a question. Is there anyone who can explain to me about the handing down of someone's "coat of Arms". I was under the impression that this could not be done. A King or Queen gave these things to someone who had done a brave and daring deed and it belonged to him/her alone. In other words, it was not transferable. It was the same as our military medals of today. The medals belong to one person and they cannot be handed down through the family as a family item.
