I understand your concern over the cost that may be incurred by guessing when an ancestor may have passed---especially when you are searching more than one surname at the same time. that's when the dollars really add up. The information I'm giving you is not what you asked for. But it may lead you somewhere. John may have spent most of his life in Missouri but that doesn't necessarily mean he died there. Maybe he died in Kansas or Illinois, or some place else. I point this out from personal experience. My great grandmother lived in Kansas and died in a freak accident in Missouri while visiting family. I hope some of the following information is helpful to you. And I will keep searching to see if I can find John's death date. Hold tight. We'll find it. I'll ask my genealogy friend if she can help with her ancestry subscription.
