It is near the Arrowhead (Chiefs) football stadium, just off I435. We went just today to try and find it, with no luck. It was a Potter's Field, were the poor were buried. My 2nd great grandfather, Henry Stephens, was buried there. He died in Feb. 1926 but wasn't buried until May 1926. If you look up his death certificate, you will see that he was buried at Leeds Cemetery. I am waiting to hear from a distant cousin, who, I believe, visited this cemetery years ago. I am hoping to get better directions from him. But I can tell you, from what I saw today, it is not a good part of town and it is very overgrown with weeds, brush, etc. and there's lots of illegal dumping in the area. The GM Leeds plant, by coincidence, where my dad worked many years, is very near where the cemetery is said to be located. All that time we had no idea his great grandfather was buried that close to where he went to work each day. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
