Death Certificate number 39869 . There is an attachment to this DC that reads: "Notice- This body, by personal effects, and one scar, and the habitual route of his transient wanderings in this part of Jackson County was partially identified, and was almost claimed by a sister, The name was that of Mr. Henry Shrout formerly of Lees Summit Mo. The sister's name is Mrs. Emma Shrout Joiner of KC. Mo. Another sister, Mrs. Myrtle Shrout Donahew of California was named, and one brother, Mr. Chas Shrout of Omaha Nebraska. This brother at Omaha refused to believe that it might be Henry, for some Transients in that city reported that they had seen Henry alive after the date of this man's death. I am keeping descriptions so that in case this family should want to renew their investigations at some future time I will be able to assist them. V.M.
