"The Kansas City Star" (Missouri) Tuesday, January 13, 1903 KILLED NEAR TOAD-A-LOUP. William MOODIER, a cooper in the employ of the Brewing company, whose home is in Graystone Heights, was struck and instantly killed by a passenger train on the Santa Fe railway near Toad-a-Loup last evening. MOODIER was riding home on the "backover" and stepped off in front of the passenger train. The engineer of the "backover" saw MOODIER fall and stopped his train. When picked up, the man was dead. Dr. D. M. SHIVELY, coroner of Wyandotte county, was notified.
