"The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, August 15, 1911 A. H. HOLMES, 76 years old, 211 West Fifteenth Street, employed by the city in the street cleaning department, died yesterday afternoon while at work at Thirty-sixth and Cherry streets. For the last four years he had been engaged in inside work for the department and began his outside duties but a short time ago. It is believed that the heat caused his death. A son, S. H. HOLMES, is a member of the police department. "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Wednesday, August 16, 1911 Funeral services for A. H. HOLMES, 211 West Fifteenth Street, who died yesterday afternoon while at work in the city street cleaning department, will be held at 9 o'clock this morning at the cathedral.
