    1. KORAN, PABST, SCHRADER - Kansas City, MO - 1881

    3. "The Kansas City Evening Star" (Missouri) Monday, May 9, 1881 FRIGHTFUL FIND. Yesterday while Stephen SCHRADER and a man named KORAN were fishing in the Blue about a half-mile below the Independence bridge, they discovered a floater. The body was horribly bloated and swollen and the face decomposed beyond recognition. Lodged in the drift near the body were the bodies of two horses. The description tallied closely with that of Emil PABST, the missing saloonist, but his friends who viewed the body at Carlat's, where it was taken, failed to identify it. The body was dressed in coarse clothes. The man was apparently thirty years of age, medium size, and wore a red mustache. Nothing was found on his person by which he could be identified. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ======================================================
