Johnson buried at Koger cemetery. He died April 24, 1905, he had been ill for some time before his death. He was a memeber of the New Liberty Church. I am also looking for information about his daughter, Gertrude Belle (Johnson) Schoonover, aka Gertie or Belle. She is buried there as well, however there is no marker. She died April 4, 1909. I believe she gave birth to a Daughter named Mamie 5 days before her death. She too was a member of the same church, in fact an obit I found states that she was born near the church. I appreciate any help I can get. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I should have said that the following about the two people I am trying to find in particular. William Lightner was born in Independence, Missouri according the the marriage license with Mary Schreiber and he was born around 1868. Mary J. Schreiber was born in Northumberland or Dauphin County, Pennsylvania around 1864 and oddly enough, her age differs greatly from one census record to the next. The year of birth always changing and strangely getting younger with each census. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3.     I am looking for pictures of Paseo High School in the early 1960s and Southwest High School in 1964-65.  If anyone has a picture they could scan and send to me I would be very grateful.   I am making books of my husband's history for my two daughters and he attended both schools.   Also, if anyone has year book for Paseo from 1960-61 and would be willing to search for picture of my husband, Chris, and scan it would also be appreciated.  We do not have any pictures of him taken during this period of his life.   Thank you. Author: JohnWOBrien Surnames: NOYES Classification: death Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.jackson/6740/mb.ashx Message Board Post: "The Kansas City Times" (Missouri) Tuesday, December 5, 1871 VERY SUDDEN DEATH. On Sunday evening a young man names S. W. NOYES, assistant Mail Agent on the Kansas City, St. Joe & Council Bluffs Railroad, met with his death in a very sudden and rather singular manner. He was coming up Bluff street in the face of the bitter, biting storm then prevailing from the northwest when he began to complain to the two gentlemen accompanying him of a sudden and severe pain in the chest. When they reached the little apple stand near Broadway he was unable to walk, and asked for assistance to keep him from falling. The two gentlemen supported Mr. NOYES across the street to Freeman's saloon, corner of Broadway and Fifth street, and gave him a seat in a chair. He was by this time unable to speak, but motioned toward the door and tried to articulate the word "doctor." The bartender gave him brandy and endeavored by every means to revive the exhausted young man, but without avail. In ten minutes from the time he was brought into the saloon the young man was a corpse. His remains were taken into the next room and laid out. A coffin was brought from the undertaker's, and yesterday morning he was sent back to his friends at St. Joseph. His death was caused by asthma and the severe storm. ====================================================== (I have no connection with this family but I'd appreciate knowing if you found this posting helpful.) johnobrien@kc.rr.com ====================================================== neirbo10 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
