I'm seeking information on the above, but especially the Scanlons & Scanlans. I was born 4/20/1929 in Kansas City, MO to Daniel A. O'Connell & my mother, whose maiden name was Lola Gladys Kennedy. My parents were married 10/14/1914, also in K.C. My paternal grandfather, Daniel O'Connell, was married to grandmother, whose maiden name was Bridget Scanlon, 10/17/1885, also in K.C. My paternal grandmother was born in Co. Mayo, Eire in 1861 or 1862. Her parents (also from Co. Mayo) were named--I think-- Thomas Scanlon & Mary Scanlan. I need to know all possible info about them, including names, place & date of birth, place & date of death, & where they were buried. Any of my cousins or any others who know are encouraged to contact me either through this forum or to e-mail me at "docrrnm@aol.com". I was in Co. Mayo recently & was unable to find the answers to these questions! Thanks very much! Daniel F. Hello John, Thank you for your kindness and I hope you don't mind all of the surname requests. All of these family members spent time in Kansas City at one time or another so if it's not too much I ask you to check for: LILES, STEPHENSON, GOODALE, RIDDLE and SURBER. Thanks again, Marie
John: Would appreciate your checking to see if you have Larkin Maddox on the death index. Thanks. Marjorie

The correct name is actually Loretto Academy (ends with an 'o'). Joyce Jandbill@aol.com wrote: My husband said he now remembers that the school was called Loretta Academy.
