Thanks, John. This could be the one. If the H was read wrong, it could be an R. I will have to see if I can find more info. Jackie
Hi John, Am interested in finding Janette Boone HOLT, might also be listed as "Nettie HOLT or even her maiden name, REEVE. She was 'supposed' to be buried in Union Cemetery in Kansas City, Jackson Co, MO. Also, am interested in her husband, James HOLT. Know they got married but nothing else after that. Also, anyone with the surname of ROLLS would be a big help. Sally Rolls Pavia sallypavia2001@yahoo.com We have not inherited the world from our forefathers, we have borrowed it from our children. John, Thanks for looking. I suspect alien abduction of these two. Vanette
John, so that other members might know a little about the scope of your new Missouri cemetery book ..... please look for a Claud Robinson who possibly died in a Missouri Prison sometime between 1931 and probably 1955. I have been informed by his half niece that a notice was placed in a Kansas City newspaper announcing that "Claud Robinson had died in Prison and would a relative please claim the body." No one claimed the body ! ! ! I can not locate his death, burial location or the date and paper that carried the notice. If your new book is alphabetized, it may contain his name. Interesting enough, he spent most of his life in prison. Locating his last incarceration is a mystery. His death does not appear in any prison records or state archives of prison inmates. He may have been in prison in another state and his earlier records were from Jackson County, so the prison administration gambled that a notice in that Kansas City might reach a relative. Thank You... John, Could you please search in your Missouri cemetery book for the following names: 1. Nagel Maroon 2. Apal Armon Both would be buried in Jackson County and the dates would be in the early to mid 1970's. Thank you for all you do to help! Joyce
Hello, John. You are most kind and very generous to do all these look-ups. You know me....I'm after all the following surnames...any one by these names: Ogan Canterbury or Canterberry Studyvin (Studyvin, Sturdivan, etc.) Doolin Tally or Talley Many thanks, Emily
John, I have been looking for Peter OUTCALT and wife Annis/Annie OUTCALT for years. He died in Willow Springs, Howell Co. Feb 4, 1911 but I haven't been able to find a burial for him, not even when I went to Willow Springs. Annie died sometime after 1912; she would have been in her 80s. Peter may be in Mt. View Cemetery, Howell Co.; I found his cousin there. Any OUTCALTS in the state are probably mine. At various times they were in Livingston, St. Clair, Jackson, and Callaway Counties, besides Howell. Misspelled and mis-transcribed often; OUTCOLT, ONTCALT, ANTCALT, OUTCAULT, OUTACULT -- and the outside of Peter's will reads OUCHLETT! Vanette
Vanette, no OUTCALTs in this book or any name starting with "OUT" or the other spellings you give below. I'll hold on to your note and check some other books when I'm at the library. Janis, can't find a Ruby GIBLER but found Pauline WILLIAMS. Pauline is at Mound Grove. Shows her birth date as 17 March 1909 but doesn't show a death date. (The tombstone was probably made before she died.) Also has her husband: William Charles WILLIAMS b. 26 Nov 1903; d. 9 July 1969; 65 years ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janis Mundy" <Mundy-Reno@sbcglobal.net> To: <MOJACKSO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 2004 10:08 PM Subject: Re: [MOJACKSO] Missouri cemetery lookups > Good Election Evening John, > > With the polls almost closed here, things are getting exciting here. > > Could you please see if you can find RUBY O. John, Do you have an index? I am still searching for Robert and Martha McAllister/McCallister. Thanks, Jackie

I have a "new" book that has listings of cemeteries for 26 Missouri counties, including Jackson and Clay counties. If you want me to do a look up, send me the name. (Death would have to have occurred before 1981.) John
Good Election Evening John, With the polls almost closed here, things are getting exciting here. Could you please see if you can find RUBY O. SNOW TAGGART GILBER. According to RLDS church records, she was born March 31, 1893. She was married to Claude Taggart on January 30, 1926 and then married WALTER C. GIBLER on March 24, 1959. According to Mound Grove Cemetery records, Walter died on January 31, 1982 but I think that Ruby died before that because it appears that Walter C. Gibler married Esther Day in 1974 (according to the Jackson County, Missouri Marriage site). Also, could you please check and see if PAULINE OLETA SNOW WILLIAMS is listed in your books. Thanks, as always, for your help.
