Sni Mills Sni Mills is in the southeast corner of the county, north from Hick's City. Williams, p. 411. It is situated at Section 28, 29, Township 48 N, Range 29 W at the junction of F & 7. Mail via Oak Grove. (--Rand, McNally, 1974.) Brian, That township would be Sni-A-Bar, believe it or not. Also, there was a Sni-Mill village, and a Sni Creek. I bet if you go to yahoo or google, you can find the meaning of the expression, Sni-A-Bar. I have seen it, but I have forgotten what it means. Probably from an Indian expession, I imagine. Looking for a marriage record for John "Izzy" Zimmerman to Rosa _?_ about 1915-1918, in the Kansas City area. They were enumerated in Kansas City, Jackson Co. MO in 1920 and 1930. In 1920 they have a 10 month old baby and in 1930 Rosa is age 31 and says she was married at age 16 which is 1915. Early 1900s marriages don't seem to be available on-line. Would much appreciate a look-up and would be glad to return the favor.

Ross, I found the obituary and death notices. However, one notice has his name as NALL but the others as NOLL. Below is a transcript of what I found, which I'll mail to you. He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery and maybe his mother and wife are also there. I wasn't able to find a phone number for the cemetery ...... maybe someone on the Mailing List can help with this. I believe that Tillman Nall whose obituary you posted is probably a distant cousin of my distant Nall cousins. I am interested in another Nall who died in Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., about the same time, Price Nicholas (or Nicholas Price) Nall who died 5 Dec 1914. His wife Emma was still living in Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., in 1920 and Price's mother Mary E. Daniels was still living with her. They both apparently died or moved away by 1930. Would you be able to check for an obituary for Price Nall for me? Not only would the obituary confirm his date and place of death, but it might also give the cemetery in which he was buried. If Emma and/or his mother are buried with him, then I would be able to get their dates of death and then obits on them. Thanks much for any assistance that you can provide. Ross Cameron

John: I see in one of your messages that there is a Confederate Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri. My grandfather, George W. Maddox, was a Confederate veterans and at the time of his death he lived in Jefferson City, Cole County. I have a copy of his obiturary from a Jefferson City newspaper and it says he belonged to the UCV and the members of that organization accompanied the remains to the cemetery. It did not say which cemetery, and we have been unable to find his place of burial in Jefferson City. Would you look at the cemetery in Higginsville to see if he might have been buried there. Thank you. Marjorie
Thanks for looking, John. I appreciate it. Darlene >Darlene, none of the names are listed ......... not even one RUSSELL!!! > >
