McDonald and his wife Jeannie, they lived in Independence, Missouri, Roy W. McDonald was the son of William McDonald and his wife Bertie (Kelly) McDonald. Roy W. McDonald was born in 1878 in Canada (I believe), Roy's father William was a Stone cutter and owned and operated a stone quarry in or near Independence. Roy had a sister by the name of Rena Pearl McDonald who married Alfred H. Orth of Minneapolis (Alfred is a distant relation of mine). Roy W. McDonald and his wife Jeannie had 4 children, Donald C. McDonald born April 13, 1906 and Died Feb. 2, 1924 (he was a messenger for the Federal Reserve Bank, and was walking past the Bailey-Reynolds Building in Kansas City when the building exploded, he later died from his injuries. Just a few months before this Donald had been married to Fern Baber. Other children in the family were Margaret McDonald born in 1908, and Roy McDonald Jr. and William McDonald. If any of the above information sounds familiar to anyone out there please feel free to contact me, I am particularly interested in finding anyone who might be related to the McDonald family.
