Hi Carol ~ We may have corresponded before as your name sounds familiar. I correspond with so many people it is hard to remember everyone. In 1860 Benjamin Briley was living in Bowles Township in Franklin County, Missouri in what appears to be a boarding house. It gives his age as 30, birthplace as Ohio. He had two small sons with him, James T., age six, birthplace Kentucky and John F., age four, birthplace Missouri. James T. is my 2nd great grandfather. by 1870 Benjamin is living in St. Francois county but James & John are not listed in that census. On Christmas day 1873 James T. married Mary Jane GREEN at the residence of Benjamin Briley in St. Francois County, Missouri. I found James T. in the 1900 & 1910 census for St. Francois County, Mo. http://carrollscorner.net/Briley-Green.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2004 10:41 PM Subject: 1870 Census, Iron County, Missouri This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
