Your line is one that I am researching. My name is Marian Warren, and my E-mail address is: Mjswspokane@comcast.net My husband Jim's gr-gr-grandfather is Elliot Hart, some say Charles Elliot. His line is through Elliot's daughter Polly Ann (some say Dorcas Anna) who married Francis Marion Warren in Missouri. I have not gotten farther back than Elliot, but some on Ancestry.com say that his father was either a John Hart, or an Ozias Hart. Recently I have been checking Tenn. records (Elliot was supposedly born in Roane Co., Tenn., 1811,) but have found nothing on Elliot, Charles, or Ozias. I have not checked yet for John Hart. Plus, I want to check Illinois records as Elliot lived there between Tenn. and MO. Elliot is said by some to have had three wives, but I don't believe the last one. First, Dorcas Willis/Wilkerson. Second, Mary Ellen Blackwell, Polly's mother. Third, Margaret Burger. Now, on 1860 census, Elliot's wife is Mary, and he was supposed to have died 1864. I would be so grateful if you could share any info you have with us!! So far, I have not researched any of the wives lines, including Smart. Today, one of Jim's cousins is married to a Randolph. Small world, isn't it? And, this will really blow you away. My grandmother was Lucy Ann Lay, born Arkansas. I have some info on this family if you are interested. She married my grandfather, James Christopher Stewart around 1905, in Arkansas. Her line includes: Lay, Yates, Tate, and Caughran, and of course, Stewart. I would be so grateful for any help you could give! Bye for now---Marian Warren Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
