    1. [MOIRON] Signer family photo? Need help with identification.
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Signer, Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zMB.2ACI/905 Message Board Post: I bought a beautiful portrait of a couple in an old oval frame at an antique shop in Ironton a year or two ago. The shop owner told me it was sold at a yard sale by a lady who had married into the Signer family. I contacted that woman by phone and she told me that her husband had been dead over 40 years and that this picture came from his family and that she didn't know who the people were and that her husband never knew who the people were either. She said they might have been an aunt or an uncle, but that she just didn't know. I assume her husband had inherited it from his parents. Since she didn't know them and her children weren't interested in it, she just decided to get rid of it which is why she sold it at the yard sale. I do know that the Signer family was once a very prominent family in Iron County in that there was a Signer hardware business there many years ago. She said that the Signers are all dead now. I would like very much to identify the couple in t! his picture. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful. Is this Ancestry ad on the right-hand always here? It's taking up almost half of the page. I don't mind ads because I know that they help to keep RootsWeb free, but this ad is almost a half a page wide. That's ridiculous!
