    3. I was sent the following e-mail which I have edited for brevity. Can anyone provide any additional information about this incident or my great uncles role as sheriff of Iron Co. in the 1930's and the following years? "John Harris was sheriff of Iron county during the middle 30s. As sheriff he lived in the living quarters of the jail in Ironton. He served at least two terms, perhaps 3. He was a much respected sheriff by all but the criminals. There were some pretty rough characters in Iron County then. Among them were the Bushy boys who were a wild bunch having murdered more than one. John rounded them up and they served many years in the pen." James Turner Harris [email protected]
