She was born June 10, 1926, to the late Thomas and Clara Fortune. She was also preceded in death by her husband Samuel Montgomery; two sisters: Eileen Ezell, Lucille Dressel, two brothers, Ollie Smith, Walter Fortune. Survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Loretta and her husband worked with troubled youth for many years as houseparents for the St. Louis Family Court and the Juvenile Center in Farmington. She was a faithful member of the church Community of Christ for over 35 years. Visitation will be Thursday evening 5 - 8 p.m. at Shipman Funeral Home, Funeral services will be Friday 11 a.m. at the Shipman Chapel with Rev. Wayne Leftridge.
