I did a little searching around and found this. It looks like they lived in Carter County, MO in 1920. Tried to find them there earlier with no luck. His sister, Elise, on the 1920 census looked to have a different last name and couldn't make it out. It definately started with an "H". Could his mother, Rachel, have been married twice before Brown?
