They are both Privates in Co. E 13th U.S. Infantry Was your William Quigley actually born in '1848' and in 'Ireland'? If so, the one listed in the 1880 Iron County Census may not him. That William Quigley was born in 1830 Ireland. It would have helped to double check the birth year between the census records. What information do you have that you know to be accurate on your William? Was he actually born in Ireland? Do you know his wife's name or any of the children's names? What states did he live in? In 1880, the same year, there was another William Quigley,in the approximate area. The birth year and place is the same as the Patrick listed in St. Louis is 1880, but he cannot be the same man. Patrick Quigley in St. Louis was married prior to 1870. His children's ages also contradict the possibility that it is the same man. I didn't check spelling variations, since I'm not certain of your William's birth year, birth place, etc. There was a William Yeagley abt 1850 Ireland Head, listed with this alternative [William Quigley], spouse: Bridget in 1910 Greensburg, Knox, MO.
