PLEASE NOTE: My email address has changed to: ograndma@bmi.net, not as listed in the message below. Bettye or Melanie, will you please change my email address for me, to reflect the above email address, in the MISCELLANEOUS MYSTERY PHOTO site on the St. Francois County Website. Thank you..... Photo #1 - This group photo was submitted by Joyce "Nash" Wafford. Joyce advises that this photo was in a trunk belonging to her Grandmother Alice (Sutton) Nash which was given to her father, Alfred F. Nash, by his father, Jesse Clayborn Nash, before he passed away in Ironton, Iron County, Missouri in the 1940's. Joyce advises that Jesse Clayborn Nash was the son of Claiborne "Clabe" and Amanda "Mandy" Nash of Big River and Bonne Terre areas of St. Francois County, Missouri. The only thing she knows is that the photo is of NASH family members. She has been told that the girl seated on the left "looks" like Gilly Ann (Patterson) Nash, but Joyce has no confirmation of this. Gilly Ann (Patterson) Nash was the wife of Johnson Nash. She died in St. Francois County in March 1946 and is buried in the Iron Mountain Cemetery. Joyce knows that there are NASH, KETCHERSIDE, MOSES, AND DOGGETT family members who all lived in St. Francois County, along with many other related surnames. Joyce is hoping that someone will recognize this picture and be able to provide her with names of all or any of the persons in the photo. If you can help Joyce, please click on her name above to send her an e-mail.
I'm curious about Alice (Sutton) Nash - did she have any relatives named Evelyn or Saphronia (Fronnie)? > > Photo #1 - This group photo was submitted by Joyce "Nash" Wafford. Are you talking Evelyn Nash or Evelyn Sutton or Saphronia (Fronnie) Nash or Sutton? I do have quite a few Evelyn Nashes in my files. One would have been a niece of my Grandmother's Alice (Sutton) Nash. I also know of a Saphronia Nash (who was either a daughter in law or perhaps even a wife of my William Nash, not sure if the relationship here, as she was quite a bit younger than William) in Carter County, Missouri, listed on the 1860 US Census Records. I have our family tree "The Webs We Weave", posted on Tribal Pages. My website url is: http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes/jdwafford The Password needed to view the website is my maiden name: Nash Please take a look and if you see any familiar names, please email me at: ograndma@bmi.net I'd love to hear back from you, and would like for you to sign my Guest Book when you visit.
