A correction is needed in the body of the original e-mail where I state "My inderstanding is that Ollie Swinford married Archie A. or Arch Hughes." I didn't proof enough and that should read "Archie A. or Arch CLEMONS." "Arch" Clemons & Ollie Swinford Dooley Murray Clemons I was told that a person I am looking for is buried in the Graniteville Cemetery. His name is Archie A. or Arch Clemons and he was born circa 1885. No idea of when he passed. He married a person I have been trying to track down for a couple of years now. Originally she was Ollie Swinford (b. abt 10/1881-1883 in Doe Run, Mo. She 1st married Robert Lesley Dooley on 11/1/1899 in Doe Run, Mo. Then she married Newton Guy Hughes on 6/8/1906 possibly also in Doe Run, Mo. She moved with Newton Guy Hughes to Quapah, Ok. Ottawa Co. by 1920 so he could work in the zinc mines. He had worked in the lead mines in St. Francois Co., Mo. Her 2nd husband died in 1926 and by 1930 Ollie Swinford Dooley Hughes had married James Murray and was living in Bismarck, Mo. My understanding is that Ollie Swinford married Archie A. or Arch Hughes. In the 1930 census Archie was widowed and living with his step-father and mother in St. Francois Co., Mo. Samuel B. and Martha A. Hand. From information provided to me I surmise that Archie married Ollie possibly between 1931 and 1935 or so. It could have been in St. Francois Co. but it may have been in Graniteville, Mo. as they supposedly lived there about 8 to 10 years. Ollie was known to be in Webb City, Mo. Jasper Co. (near Joplin) in 1946. I would appreciate a look up in the Graniteville Cemetery for Archie A. Clemons and possibly a marriage in Iron Co. or Graniteville of Archie and Ollie.
