HINKLE in Iron County on Nov. 17th, 1867. A possibility may be William Riley HICKMAN who was married to Elizabeth JOINES around 1834. (After Wm. Riley died, there is evidence that Eliz. married again, (in Iron Cty) to Isaac Nichols. One source says that Wm. Riley and Elizabeth Hickman had 14 children, but I have not seen any official record (such as a census record) of that. If you have any knowledge of who the parents and siblings of Nancy Hickman (my great-grandmother) might be,please let me know.

I just happen to know that there are several Hinkle families in Fredericktown. The mother was a Kelley from the Des Arc area. They were related to some friends of mine. I'm not sure this is any help but some phone calls might lead you in the right direction. To my knowledge none of them would see this board. She married Arthur Lee Prince. I was wonderinging if you had any of her family. She was one of 6, brothers and sisters are: Grant Edward, William Eugene, Ruth Evelyn, Clarence Robert "Bob", and Ralph Raymond. I knew Uncle Bob, Ralph, and Aunt Ruth. But the Bruce's were never close, and my grandmother died when I was a baby. My Aunt Alice Prince Stone. Has a lot of information, and shared it with me. She new that Tillie's parents were Edward Everette and Minerva Elizabeth Palmer. Also that Edward's partents were William Ross Bruce and Matilda Huston. She was born November 4, 1930 in Middlebrook, MO the daughter of the late Frank and Beulah (Martin) Jones. On November 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert West who survives. To this union three children were born; Connie Smith of Columbia, MO, Keith(Georgia) West of Fulton, MO, Kevin (Gerri) West of Columbia, MO. Also surviving are three sisters; Anna Belle Balew of Ironton, MO, Glenda Brown of Kansas City, MO, and Marie Green of Norway, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was a member of the Ironton Assembly of God where she had served as church pianist. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mel Rowland officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Ironton Assembly of God Building Fund.

Edith is bringing Bill home and so far the plans are Bill should be ready for visitation on New Years Day. He will be buried near Potosi, unfortunately I forgot the name of the cemetery, but I believe it was Hopewell. I know Bill had family all around the Potosi area.
