    1. Re: [MOIRON] SWEENEY, Harrison
    2. Barb, It looks like Harrison was in the Iron Co. Census records 1860-1880. It also looks like Harrison may have had a twin sister, Susan, both born in Belleview, Washington Co. The family seems to have lived in Washington Co prior to the formation of Iron County. (1840 & 1850). It appears that his father was John, b. 1800-1810, who died between 1840 & 1850. John could be buried in Belleview, Washington Co. Harrison's mother, Elizabeth b. 1810, last appears in the 1880 census. If not deceased, perhaps she is living with another child. Harrison married prior to 1869 (birth of first child). His wife, Angeline is listed as Head of Household in 1900, so Harrison must have died in Iron County between 1880-1900. This is odd, but Angeline is listed as stepmother in 1900 to James Sweeney, b. 1881. This could be an error. Angeline, b. 1828, seems to have died in Iron County between 1900 & 1910. Harrison & Angeline had at least one daughter, with the same name as his mother, Elizabeth - b. 1869. It's hard to know if James was really their son, b. 1881, with the gap between census years 1880-1900. I hope some of this helps. -Kay, FL SWEENEY Information: ----------- 1840 Belview Washington, Missouri John Swiney age 30-40 Males in household: 2 (< 5); 2 (5-10); 1(10-15) Females in household: 1 (30-40) 1850 Elizabeth Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1810 Virginia Edmond Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1830 Missouri John Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1831 Missouri Airs Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1835 Missouri Nathaniel Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1837 Missouri William Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1840 Missouri Harrison Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1842 Missouri Susan Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1842 Missour i Henry Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1844 Missouri Mary J Sweanny Belleview, Washington, MO abt 1846 Missouri 1860 Elizabeth Swinney Iron, Iron, MO 50 abt 1810 Kentucky Female William Swinney Iron, Iron, MO 19 abt 1841 Missouri Male Harrison Swinney Iron, Iron, MO 17 abt 1843 Missouri Male Susan Swinney Iron, Iron, MO 17 abt 1843 Missouri Female Henry Swinney Iron, Iron, MO 14 abt 1846 Missouri Male Mary J Swinney Iron, Iron, MO 12 abt 1848 Missouri Female 1870 Elizbth Sweeney Township 35 Range 2 East, Iron, MO abt 1810 MOWhite Female Mary J Sweeney Township 35 Range 2 East, Iron, MO abt 1847 MOWhite Female Harrison Sweeney Township 35 Range 2 East, Iron, MO abt 1844 MOWhite Male Angeline Sweeney Township 35 Range 2 East, Iron, MOabt 1840 MOWhite Female 1880 Harrison Sweeney Iron, Iron, MO abt 1843 Missouri Self (Head) Angeline Sweeney Iron, Iron, MO abt 1842 Missouri Wife Elizabeth Sweeney Iron, Iron, MO abt 1869 Missouri Daughter WM. I have information on all of them now. Sophia and John Olson were married about 1872 according to the 1900 and 1910 census records for them. I also found their 1920 and 1930 census records. It shows Sophia had 3 children only one living on the 1910 Census. Of course the 1890 records are not available and I could not find their 1880 Census records anywhere. I feel either on could have given me information on the living child. The only other gap I have on Sophia's siblings is on her sister Catherine born in 1865...She last appears on 1880 Census living with mother Catherine as the step-daughter of Adolph Kirchner. I have not found anything on her since. Thank you for all your help. Claire Hartmann Cigno

    2. Ann O'Rourke
    3. I am looking for information on the family of Jeremiah O'Rourke who moved from St. Louis to Iron County in 1870. I believe that he was married to Mary Foley. Their children were Eugene, born 1854; John, born 1858; Jeremiah, born 1861; Thomas, born 1864; Mary, born 1867; Elizabeth, born in Iron Mountain 1870. Elizabeth married john Brennan. Eugene later moved to DeSoto, Jefferson Co., Jeremiah Sr. may have moved back to St. Louis. If my guess is correct, he died in St. Louis in 1891. Can anyone help me connect these dots? 1. Re: [MOIRON] PRAYERS FOR "JANA" ANSWERED
    2. Joyce Nash - Wafford
    3. Hi Anna, Thank you for your email. I too, would be interested in knowing more about your William "Bill" Nash and his family. My Nash family originated in North Carolina and Kentucky, migrated through Indiana, into Illinois (Clay/Richland, Montgomery, and Menard Counties), and from there into Shannon, Iron, and St. Francois Counties in Missouri. I am the daughter of Alfred Francis Nash and Naomi Marie (Kitchell) Nash from Ironton, Iron County, Missouri. My grandfather was Jesse Clayburn Nash born 1881, Big River Twp., St. Francois County, Missouri, (married Alice Sutton) and my great grandfather was Claiborne Nash born 1835 in Illinois, (married Amanda "Mandy" Nash). Yes, I do believe that my Great Grandparents were actually cousins before their marriage on March 11, 1870, in Richland County, Illinois. My Great Grandmother, Amanda "Mandy" Nash, was the daughter of John W. Nash and wife Hannah. John W. Nash was born about 1812 in Kentucky, and died about 1870 in St. Francois County, Missouri, He and Hannah had eleven children, all raised in Shannon, Iron and St. Francois Counties, Missouri. I actually have 4 NASH families that I am researching, and I do believe that they are four brothers. 1. "UNKNOWN" NASH, father of Claiborne Nash. Claiborne's mother's name was LOUVINA (maiden name unknown), and she was born 1809 in Kentucky. I am assuming that "Unknown" NASH was born between 1800-1809, either North Carolina or Kentucky. I am not sure if "Unknown" NASH died, or if he and Louvina divorced. I do know that I found a 2nd marriage for her in 1847 in Richland County, Illinois, to a Richard M. Pierce. Louvina and "Unknown" Nash had five children. Henry born about 1827, Elizabeth "Betsy" born 1832-1838, Claiborne born 1835, James born about 1837, and Mary born about 1838, all in Illinois. Then Louvina and Richard Pierce had three children. Richard M. Pierce, Jr., Naomi Pierce, and Elijah Pierce. I have been unable to trace "Unknown" Nash after the birth of Mary Nash in 1838, and have been unable to trace Louvina Nash-Pierce after the death of 2nd husband Richard Pierce in 1862, in Richland County, Illinois. 2. John W. NASH, father of my great grandmother Amanda Nash. Census records show that John also used the name of Jack or Jackson NASH, and shows him born about 1812, Kentucky. 3. William NASH, born about 1802, either North Carolina or Kentucky, different records show both states. William was proven to be a NASH cousin through the NASH Family DNA Project. My brother Larry took the DNA Test for our side of the family and we matched a 25 marker Test with the family of George Edward Nash, Jr., of Humansville, Polk County, Missouri. I am in contact with the Great-Great Granddaughter of William's. Her name is Erma Nash - Herrmann. It was William's line who went into Montgomery County, then he was found in Carter County, Missouri, on the 1860 US Census Records. 4. Claiborn NASH and wife Susan. This is the elder Claiborn that I believe that my great grandfather Claiborne Nash was named after. This Claiborn was born between the years of 1780 - 1800, in either North Carolina or Kentucky. I have seen him listed in both states, and know that there are land deeds in Cumberland County, Kentucky for he and wife Susan. As I said, I believe that these four men were actually brothers. I am continually working on this NASH family of mine, and it seems to be my Brick Wall, lol. I do have my family tree posted on Tribal Pages. The website address is: http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes/jdwafford The Password needed to view the website is: Nash Please, by all means, take a look, and see if you can make a match. I currently have over 600 NASH family members, as well as many others from Iron County listed. I would welcome any additional information, family members, and or corrections that need to be made. You may email me directly at: ograndma@sbcglobal.net I currently live in Selma, California, but I do still have family in Missouri. Hope to hear from you and Bill soon, God Bless, Joyce Nash - Wafford ----- Original Message ----- From: "ralph brewer" <brewer1954@earthlink.net> To: <ograndma@sbcglobal.net> Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 6:51 PM Subject: Re: [MOIRON] PRAYERS FOR "JANA" ANSWERED > Hi Joyce, noticed your last name is Nash. 2. Joyce Nash - Wafford
    3. Hello Everyone, Just and update, and I am sorry that I did not email yesterday, as I had told all of you surgery was originally scheduled for yesterday morning at 8:00am. They rescheduled for 1:00pm yestereday afternoon, as they found that JANA's blood had been making its own antibodies, and they needed to make sure that they could match it for transfusions, before they actually did the surgery. Then, they also found that JANA's little heart was trying to repair itself and has started growing another artery, which they had to cap off, as they had already done the first surgery. They then rescheduled the surgery for this morning at 8:00am. Grandma Alice (my sister) called me this morning at 7:05am, and said that they had just taken JANA into surgery. They were exxpecting at least 5 to 6 hours for surgery. Alice just called me at 1:20pm, and told me that JANA was out of surgery. Let me tell All of you, GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYERS, and HE DOES WORK MIRACLES!!! As per Alice, the Doctors at Lucille Parker Children's Hospital, all say that "JANA is a very remarkable baby". She came through this second surgery with flying colors. There is a Very Good Chance that she Will Not, and I repeat Will Not, have to have the third surgery, that we had all been told to expect when she reached 35 to 45 pounds in weight. They said that since she was doing so well, and had done so well during this surgery, that as of now, they would plan on seeing her for a checkup in about 5 years...................... Plans now, of course, are to get her out of the recovery room, then out of the hospital, and back home to Grandma and Grandpa's in Stockton, CA. Once she has seen all of her doctors in Sacramento for as long as is needed, and is released and able to travel, she, Mommy and Daddy, will be making their home in Austin, Texas. We expect that this will be within a month to six weeks. THANKS to ALL of you for your prayers, and please keep them coming for a while yet. God Bless All, Hugs, Joyce and Family
